Three of the world’s prominent food festivals include:

1. Pizzafest (Italy) – A four-day festival set in Naples, Pizzafest includes live music and performances as well as world-class pizza makers showcasing their dough-throwing skills.

2. The Onion Market (Switzerland) – Held in Bern, the Onion Market is Switzerland’s biggest folk festival, complete with 50 tons of onion rings, braids, and single bulbs for sale as well as onion soup and tarts for sampling. One of the non-onion highlights is the confetti war.

3. Bacon Festival (United States) – This California-based festival takes place in January and includes dishes such as bacon salad, bacon gelato, and bacon tater tots as well as local craft beers. In keeping with its bacon theme, the festival even features a Kevin Bacon tribute band.
